Star-quality at its best! This is our opening concert with our Star pianist AyseDeniz Gokcin. She has a serious following amongst music lovers, so do not delay buying your tickets. AyseDeniz Gokcin will open the festival on the evening of 26 September at 7pm.

Lunchtime Showcase Recitals at 1pm

The individual programmes offer an interesting variety of traditional western classical music from Handel to Stravinsky passing by Brahms and Chopin and illustrate the Asian aspect of the festival with the addition of rarely heard music by Chen Yi and Adnan Saygun. Wonderful young performers!

Lunchtime Showcase Recitals at 1pm

The emphasis in this showcase is on the traditional music of the countries the musicians come from. This should be a most interesting revelation to those of us who do not get the opportunity to hear such works. The range is massive going from Turgay Erdener, Tan Dun to Chen Yi and Ysaye. Musicians of great merit which you will remember in years to come!
