Yume Fujise is a Japanese violinist currently living in London. She recently appeared live on BBC Radio 3 In Tune as their BBC Introducing Classical Artist and has performed in major international venues, such as the Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Suntory Hall (Tokyo) and Forbidden City Hall (Beijing).

Yume has been a prize winner at numerous competitions, including the EuroAsia International Competition (2015), Singapore National Teachers Association Competition (2010), and Trinity London Competition (2005). Yume performs regularly as soloist and has appeared with orchestras such as the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra, Hague Philharmonic Orchestra, Singapore National Youth Orchestra, Essex Youth Orchestra, Kingston Chamber Orchestra, Royal College of Music Philharmonic and Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed at music festivals, including a concert in Saanen Church at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad.

After starting the violin at the age of three, Yume was invited to study at the Juilliard School of Music at ten with Masao Kawasaki. She later began studying at the Yehudi Menuhin School with Lutsia Ibragimova and at the Kunst Universität Graz with Boris Kuschnir. Yume is currently studying at the Royal College of Music, London (RCM) with Mark Messenger on a full scholarship. During her short time at the RCM, Yume has already won the 2014 Violin Competition and 2015 Concerto Competition playing Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto no.1.

Yume has participated in masterclasses with world-renowned artists including Ivry Gitlis, Shlomo Mintz, Zakhar Bron, Takashi Shimizu, Philippe Graffin, Takaya Urakawa, Tatiana Gridenko and Steven Isserlis as well as receiving frequent lessons with Alina Ibragimova. She is grateful for the generous support of the Soiree d’Or Scholar Foundation, Hattori Foundation (Junior Award), Lee Abbey Award, Henry Wood Accommodation Award, Talent Unlimited and Mr. & Mrs. Rin Kei Mei.

Yume plays on a J.B Vuillaume, Paris c.1858 which has been generously loaned to her by Florian Leonhard Fine Violins.

Maria Tarasewicz has already gained an enviable international reputation as a soloist and chamber musician. Maria studied first in the Ukraine with Alexandra Smetankina and Iya Pavlova, and then in Poland with Natalia Radecka, Natalia Rewakowicz (piano) and Maja Sterczynska (chamber music). In 2008 she moved to Brussels where she continued her studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under Boyan Vodenitcharov, Eugene Moguilevsky, Olga Rumchevych and Piet Kuijken.

Maria Tarasewicz is in great demand as a chamber musician, teacher and accompanist in many international musical festivals including Musica Mundi in Belgium, the Stavanger Youth Chamber Festival in Norway, Jersey International Masterclass and Festival.

As well as her commitment to working with young musicians Maria has collaborated with many great musicians of this generation including Ivry Gitlis, Maxim Vengerov, Leonid Kerbel, Gavriel Lipkind, Dora Schwarzberg, Truls Mørk, Vladimir Perlin, Leonid Gorokhov, Itamar Golan, Paul Gulda, Paul Badura-Skoda, David Dolan, Hagit Hassid-Kerbel and Hogon Austbo.

Maria is a laureate of many chamber music competitions as well as appearing as a soloist across Europe.
